Package validation tells you whether your unsubmitted package meets the basic validation rules detected by EFS.

This is optional. By validating the package prior to submission, you can fix any basic errors (e.g., missing electronic signatures or invalid parcel identifier) that will prevent you from submitting your package.

Validate your Package

Click Validate Package. The same validation rules are executed as would be executed if you were to submit the package

If your package has no validation errors, you will receive a message stating your package is valid

Confirmation message

In certain cases it is possible for submission to fail, even though package validation indicated your package met the basic validation rules. For example:

  • When you submit a Property Transfer Tax (PTT) form that was previously submitted.
  • When you submit survey plan submitted in a previous package

When you need to submit a package with multiple documents, you can upload your files in advance and validate the package for errors. Package validation tells you whether your unsubmitted package meets the basic validation rules detected by EFS. This is optional but can be very helpful. By validating the package prior to submission, you can fix any basic errors (e.g., missing electronic signatures) detected by EFS. Remember that when errors are reported during the validation process, one or more documents can be removed from the package and replaced with newer versions without deleting the entire package. In addition, limiting the number of documents to approximately 20 may decrease upload time.
