Change of Mailing Address on Title

Last modified on April 07, 2024

PREPARING THE APPLICATION

It is recommended that you have a copy of the current title to ensure you know the information it contains. Order a copy of the title for a fee before starting the application.

To file a Change of Mailing Address on Title application, you will be asked for the following information:

1.1 Parcel Identifier (PID). You can find the PID by searching the property's address on BC Assessment. It is also shown in the "Property Location & Description” section of your Property Assessment Notice. It is also on the title for the property.
1.2 Names of all Owners Requesting the Mailing Address Change Exactly as Listed on Title. If the owner names on the application do not match what is on title, it can delay the processing of your application. You will also have the option to change the occupation listed on title for any of the owners requesting an address change.
1.3 New Mailing Address to be Listed on Title. Have the complete mailing address including postal code. This does not need to be the address of the property. It should be where you wish to receive mail about the property.
1.4 Permission of the Owner if Filing on Behalf of Someone. If you are applying on behalf of a family member, spouse or other owner on title, you are acting as an agent and must have the permission of that person. As a safeguard, owners may be notified by LTSA of applications made on their behalf by an agent.
1.5 BC Services Card app for online submission. The BC Services Card app is used to verify the identity of the applicant and to sign the online application. The applicant may be the person requesting the mailing address change or someone acting on their behalf. Learn how to log in with the BC Services Card app. If you don't have the BC Services Card app on your mobile device, you need to set it up first.

If there is more than one owner on title wishing to make the same mailing address change, file one application for all owners. When preparing the application, select 'add another owner' on the Property and Ownership page to list all owners. The owner filing the application acts as an agent on behalf of the other owners. Once registered, LTSA will update the mailing address for all owners listed in the application.
