Short legal descriptions are made up of a number of fields separated by slashes and are a method for searching for titles and plans.
All parcels within the land title register are recorded as subdivided or unsubdivided.
Most plans filed with the LTSA display a three-letter plan prefix code (such as BCP or VAS) in the legal description. This prefix may be needed for some search methods.
These codes are used to indicate Miscellaneous Notes or Pending Applications associated with the parcel.
