Can I search for a title with a civic address?

Last modified on October 02, 2018

No. The LTSA does not recognize a civic address as a reliable method of identifying land. Therefore, you cannot search with a street or civic address in the land title system.

You can search for a property’s parcel identifier (PID) by its address using ParcelMap BC search or BC Assessment's Assessment Search.

You can also find this information on the property’s:

  • Property Assessment Notice from BC Assessment
  • Municipal tax notice

A PID is a unique number assigned by the system to identify each parcel of land within the province.
